Deputy Ministers hear public grievances in Trincomalee

Colombo, June 3 (Daily Mirror) - Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd.) and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra jointly chaired a Public Day Programme at the Trincomalee District Secretariat yesterday.

The programme provided an opportunity for war veterans and members of the public to present their grievances, concerns and development-related issues directly to government officials.

During the event, the Deputy Ministers reviewed a range of issues raised by veterans and local residents and instructed the relevant authorities to take prompt action to address them.

The programme was aimed at facilitating direct engagement between the public and government institutions while ensuring that community concerns are addressed efficiently.

Senior government officials and representatives of local authorities also attended the event.
