Cops make U-Turn on Dan Priyasad - First dead, now alive

Colombo, April 22 (Daily Mirror) - Police now say that social activist Dan Priyasad, who was shot in front of his residence at the ‘Laksanda Sevana’ apartment complex in Meetotamulla, is not dead but is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in critical condition.

Earlier, police said in a statement that Priyasad had died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

However, Police Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga later clarified that Priyasad is still alive and remains under intensive medical care.
