Cops arrested for demanding bribe from tourist

Colombo, March 07 (Daily Mirror)- A sergeant and two constables were arrested for allegedly soliciting a bribe from an Austrian tourist.

Police said the officers, attached to the Kollupitiya Police, demanded Rs. 50,000 from the tourist in exchange for not taking legal action over the foreign cigarettes she was carrying.
