Cop who gave ammunition to Middeniya triple murder arrested

Colombo, March 04 (Daily Mirror) - A police constable attached to the Weeraketiya Police Station has been arrested in connection with the Middeniya triple murder.

Police said a team of officers from the Middeniya Police Station arrested the suspect.

The 36-year-old suspect, a resident of Julampitiya, had provided 12 T-56 live ammunition rounds to the suspects who carried out the shooting.

Aruna Vidanagamage and his two children were killed in this shooting at Middeniya on February 18.

Police said a total of seven suspects have been arrested so far in connection with this crime.
