Close associate of ‘Moratu Saman’ arrested

A close associate of slain underworld figure ‘Moratu Saman’ was arrested at Katubedda, Moratuwa last night, Police said.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the STF had recovered a hand-grenade and five grams of heroin in possession of the 40-year-old suspect. 
   
He is to be produced in the Moratuwa Magistrate's Court today.

The DIG said further investigations are being conducted by the STF and Moratuwa police.(AS)
