A team of technicians from a Chinese company have arrived in Sri Lanka on Friday night in order to repair the PCR testing machine, the Chinese embassy in Colombo said.

“So far the malfunction reason not clear,” the embassy tweeted and said “Other machines will also be checked & maintained, after 24/7 running for months.”

Due to the breakdown of the PCR machine, nearly 20,000 PCR test results had been delayed.
