COVID vaccines for Uni. students at campuses: UGC Chairman

The University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said anti-COVID-19 vaccination will be given to university students at all the universities from Monday (11) to Friday (15).

Accordingly, students can receive their vaccine from the nearest university close to the place where they live, he said.

The vaccination programme is being conducted by teams dispatched by the Health Ministry to all the universities in the country, Prof. Amaratunga said.

He said this initiative is executed under the programme of normalizing the educational activities of university students expeditiously.

Therefore, the Professor requested all students who have not been vaccinated to come to the nearest universities and get the vaccine. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
