CEA to file case against damage caused around Loggalla Oya forest

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) will file a case against those responsible for the environmental damage caused to the Loggalla Oya forest, Environment Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe said

He stated that action was taken in response to the recent disclosure of facts by the media regarding the environmental destruction which took place around Loggalla Oya.

Dr. Jasinghe said that he had deployed the CEA, Mahaweli Authority and the Grama Niladharis to look into the matter.

As a result, the CEA will take immediate action against those responsible for the damage done to the Loggalla Oya, the Secretary added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
