Bus catches fire at Madampe

A private bus travelling from Colombo to Embilipitiya caught fire at the Madampe area this morning, police said.

They said the bus caught fire today at around 7:20 a.m. while there were nearly 50 passengers on the bus at the time.

However, no one was injured in this accident and the fire has now been extinguished.

Rakwana police are conducting further investigations.
