British national smuggling Rs. 63 Mn worth gold nabbed by Customs at BIA

Colombo,April 28(Daily Mirror) - A UK national trying to smuggle in over two kilos of gold jewelry worth around Rs.63 million from Dubai was apprehended by the Sri Lanka Customs at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The passenger had arrived in the country on FlyDubai flight FZ 569 and was hiding the gold around his waist, the Customs spokesperson said.
