Ballot papers marked with pencils will not be rejected: EC

The Election Commission said the ballot papers marked with pencils will not be rejected and therefore voters should not harbour unnecessary concerns.

Issuing a media release, the Commission said ballpoint pens had been made available to the polling stations for voters to mark their ballot papers.

It said there were complaints about the use of pencils at some places, though ballpoint pens had been sent to such places.
