Atamasthanadhipathi Nayaka Thera passes away

The Most Venerable Atamasthanadipathi, Chief Sanganayake- Northcentral Province Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayake Thera passed away at the age of 69 while being treated at a private hospital in Colombo.

Meanwhile, the President appoints North Central Province Governor Maheepala Herath, Buddhasasana, and Religious & Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickramanayaka to coordinate arrangements for the full state-sponsored funeral of the Thera.
