829 quarantine law violators arrested within 24-hours

A total of 829 suspects have been arrested in connection with the violation of quarantine rules and regulations during the last 24-hours, recording the highest number of arrests made since October 30, last year.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said a total of 15,595 suspects have been arrested so far over same offenses since October 30, 2020.

He said a total of 180 persons have been arrested in Matale, 79 in Nikaweratiya and 72 in Colombo within a 24-period.
