49 test positive through 8,000 random Antigen tests conducted on those leaving WP

A total of 49 people have been found infected with COVID-19 within eight days through random Antigen Tests carried on those who were leaving the Western Province, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.

He said the tests are being conducted at 11 different locations and approximately 8,000 Antigen tests have been performed so far.

He said tests are also being done on the Expressways to prevent emergence of new sub clusters. "When health authorities or security officers order to stop your vehicles, kindly render your cooperation to them to perform the tests," he requested the public.(DSB)
