3-year-old child knocked down by Minister’s vehicle

A three year-old child was knocked down by Minister of Indigenous Medicine Salinda Dissanayake’s vehicle at Gokarella this evening and admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital, police said.

The vehicle was travelling from Melsiripura to Kurunegala when the accident occurred.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested in connection with the incident. (Pushpakumara Jayarathne)
