12-hour water cut in Mahara and Gampaha

Colombo, May 26 (Daily Mirror) - The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply in the Mahara and Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha areas due to essential maintenance work linked to the construction of the Central Expressway.

The NWSDB said the interruption is required to facilitate the relocation of water pipelines connected to the expressway development project.

The water cut will be in effect for 12 hours from 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday (27 May) to 7.00 a.m. on Thursday (28 May).

The Board has requested consumers in the affected areas to use water sparingly during the period and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
