The number of COVID-19 cases reported today surged to 1,843 with the detection of 615 more cases recording the highest number of a single-day tally.

This also becomes the sixth consecutive day, that daily cases exceeded the 1,000 mark.

Accordingly, the total confirmed cases reported so far in the country stand at 105914.
