14 new check-in counters launched at BIA

Colombo, Nov. 11 (Daily Mirror) - Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) has announced that 14 new check-in counters have been introduced on a trial basis at the newly built marquee at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

The facility, which was completed within just one month, is a result of collaboration between the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and several key industry stakeholders.

According to AASL, the initiative is aimed at ensuring smoother airport operations and providing hassle-free convenience for passengers during the winter travel season, when passenger traffic typically increases.

The company further stated that preparations are underway to expand operations depending on passenger demand, marking a significant step in enhancing the overall travel experience for visitors arriving in and departing from Sri Lanka.
