White house shooting, bombs in Middle East and Ukraine

To the dismay of the whole world, a shooting incident occurred near   the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington, D.C., prompting the immediate evacuation of President Donald Trump and other officials off the stage to safety as attendees were advised to take cover under their tables on Sunday. Accordingly, most people were seen lying on the floor or running in panic.

We all condemn such cowardly assassination attempts aiming at world leaders.

However, this incident should open the eyes of all warring blocs of the world to the fact that everyone fears death,  and the life of every single individual is so precious. In this whole episode,  frantic efforts were made to save the lives of the president, vice-president and all other participants who were extremely terrified on hearing the sounds of gunfire in the precincts. This is only one isolated incident of exchange of gunfire.

What about the suffering wreaked on millions of people in Gaza, Iran and the Ukraine with endless offensives carried out by Israel,  America and Russia? Everywhere there is nothing but the wreckage of concrete structures and human life is so pitifully downgraded with civilians buried amidst the rubble; those alive are either displaced or living in tents in starvation with no hope for further living.

Attanan upaman kathwa, Nahaneyya na ghathaye (Quotation from Dhammapada)

Taking this as an example, the so-called warring factions should end wars and start negotiations for peace.
