Two arrested for trying to sexually harass a male child

Two men aged 54 and 58 have been arrested over the week end for allegedly trying to sexually harass a male child inside a salon in Chilaw.   

The police arrested two men after having launched a search operation following a video which was circulating on social media recently. The incident had actually happened in 2025 but the police have arrested the two suspects only after the video began circulating over social media.   

It was reported that a complaint had been lodged with the police after the video began circulating over social media. The suspects were to be produced before courts.
