Sing-Along Evening at Galadari to support St. Sebastian’s Church, Rukmalgama

St. Sebastian’s Church, Rukmalgama, will host a Musical Sing-Along evening on Saturday, 10 January 2026, at the Galadari Hotel Main Ballroom, bringing together music, fellowship and community spirit in support of an important cause.

The event is organised as part of the church’s fundraising campaign to renovate and expand the church.

The project further aims at directly supporting more than 800 families within the Rukmalgama community.

The evening will be emceed by renowned compere, TV presenter, radio broadcaster, and former Director General of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Dr. Vijaya Corea.

The evening will also feature the popular band The Kings, with well-known artiste Rukshan Perera appearing as the main guest entertainer.

Parishioners, former parishioners, well-wishers, and members of the wider community are expected to attend what is anticipated to be a vibrant night of shared music and fellowship.

To commemorate the occasion, a Souvenir Song Book will be published and distributed to all participants. The publication also offers space for advertisements, allowing individuals and corporate partners to contribute meaningfully towards the church’s development efforts.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Rev. Fr. Ranjith Madurawala, Parish Priest of St. Sebastian’s Church, Rukmalgama, said that the sing-along is “more than just an evening of music,” noting that it represents the collective effort of a community coming together to build for the future.

Tickets for the event are priced at Rs. 10,000 per person, inclusive of dinner, with a BYOB arrangement.
