Rs.50 mn fraud at PGI Peradeniya Edu. Minister calls for report

Education Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris has sought a report regarding the Rs.50 million fraud at the Post Graduate Institute (PGI) as revealed by the Committee of Public Enterprises (CoPE), a statement said.  

According to the statement, Prof. Peiris had instructed Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof. Sampath Amaratunga to act in this regard.
