Muslim police officers from across the country, as well as members of the public, are also expected to attend the Iftar gathering
The annual Police Iftar ceremony, organized by the Sri Lanka Police Buddhist and Religious Affairs Association for Muslim officers serving in the Sri Lanka Police, will be held for the 10th consecutive year on March 12.
The event will take place at the Marino Beach Hotel under the patronage of Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya.
The ceremony will be graced by Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, K. M. Ananda Wijepala, along with Deputy Ministers, Muslim Members of Parliament, and foreign ambassadors representing Islamic countries, Supreme Court judges, and senior police officials.
Muslim police officers from across the country, as well as members of the public, are also expected to attend the Iftar gathering, which is organized to promote unity, religious harmony, and fellowship within the police service during the holy month of Ramadan.
