Govt. ready to work against local culture and religion for its survival: Namal

The present government is ready to work against local culture and religions for its survival, SLPP National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa said over the weekend.

He said Minister K. D. Lal Kantha has confirmed this fact through his latest remark.   

“Minister Lal Kantha has said he would attack those who are wearing coats. Also, he has said they won’t care about those who wear saffron robes. 

This means that those in the government are willing to destroy the local culture and religions for their survival” Rajapaksa told a media briefing.  Also he said people such as Lal Kantha seemed to be challenging the law as well.   

“They say they follow the policies of Lenin but they claim to be Bruce Lee. There are few in this government who are followers of JVP founder leader Rohana Wijeweera. 

They would be laughing at persons such as Lal Kantha” he added.
