1,775 people still displaced in Badulla

Still, 1,775 people belonging to 614 displaced families in the Badulla district are in welfare centres. 

District Secretary Panduka Prabhath Sri Abeywardene said they have been provided facilities at 16 welfare centres located in schools, places of religious worship and other buildings. He said there are 73 male and 68 female children below five years of age among the displaced. 

District Secretary said welfare centres for the displaced have been located in Haliela, Haputale, Badulla, Soranathota, and Passara divisions.
