Golden Jubilee Celebrations Moors’ Islamic Cultural Home Women’s Bureau

The Women’s Bureau of Moors’ Islamic Cultural Home recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary at Lakeside with the release of a Commemorative Stamp and First Day Cover. It was founded in1975 to assist young girls to pursue higher education attaining proficiency in different professions. Today, they provide hostel facilities at Lily Avenue at a nominal charge for 84 university undergraduates and professional students from rural areas across our country. 

Furthermore they provide scholarships to students, distribute Zakath to less fortunate families and CV LINES to children undergoing surgery at Lady Ridgeway Children Hospital in addition to providing humanitarian assistance in response to appeals from across the country.
