The Geoffrey Bawa Trust, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Colombo, launched the Thai Architecture Programme to deepen cultural and architectural exchange between Sri Lanka and Thailand. The series opened at Siam Nivasa, the Thai Cultural Centre in Colombo, with a talk by Bangkok-based architect Rachaporn Choochuey, who explored how adaptable, resilient design can respond to tropical climates and urban change. Shayari de Silva, Chief Curator of the Geoffrey Bawa Trust, described the initiative as a space for collaboration and regional innovation, while Thai Ambassador Paitoon Mahapannaporn emphasised its value in fostering dialogue on heritage and sustainability.
