Annual Fundraiser Supports the A4A (Artists for Artists) Production Fund

The third edition of the A4A (Artists for Artists) Production Fund Fundraiser will be presented this October from the 17th to the 19th of October at Saskia Fernando Gallery, 41 Horton Place, Colombo 07

The A4A Production Fund, launched in 2021, is Sri Lanka’s first publicly funded arts grant — sustained and funded by the artist community itself. Each year, artists from across Sri Lanka create and donate exclusive works that are exhibited and sold, with all proceeds directly supporting A4A Production Fund grants. This unique, artist-led model celebrates collective generosity within the arts, empowering artists to support one another through opportunity, mentorship, and visibility.

A4A Production Fund 2025/2026 Awardees Announced 

Following an Open Call and independent review by an international panel of judges — Jaya Asokan (India Art Fair), Theseus Chan (WORK / WERK Magazine), Selyna Peiris (Selyn Group), and Andrea Tomasi (Michelangelo Foundation) — four artists have been selected from a pool of 28 applications:

• Catharina Danial
• Darshi Rathnayake
• Kavishwara Jayasekara
• Rajitha Rupasinghe

Over the coming weeks, awardees will be invited to one-on-one virtual feedback sessions. Proceeds from the auction will go towards selected emerging artists through mentorship, production grants and exhibition platforms created exclusively for the awardees to nurture their artistic journeys.

The Annual Fundraiser

A4A Annual Fundraiser will feature contributions from twenty one leading Sri Lankan contemporary artists. Each artist has created a work on an unglazed ceramic bowl which will be available on auction through the platform Airauctioneer.

Anupa Perera, Anushiya Sundaralingam, Arjuna Gunarathne, Chamila Gamage, Chandraguptha Thenuwara, Dileepa Jeewantha, Fabienne Francotte, Firi Rahman, H.A. Karunaratne, Hashan Cooray, Hema Shironi, Jagath Ravindra, Jagath Weerasinghe, J.C. Rathnayake, Kingsley Gunatillake, Mahen Perera, Manaram Gamage, Pradeep Thalawatta, Ruwan Prasanna, Sandatharaka Abeysinghe, Shaanea Mendis.

Proceeds from the auction go towards supporting emerging artists through mentorship, production grants and exhibition platforms created exclusively for the awardees to nurture their artistic journeys.
