The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) is set to resume its services at the Narahenpita and Werahera offices from tomorrow under the strictest control and following health care practices, DMT Commissioner General Sumith C.K. Alahakoon said.
He said the department suspended it's services due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
People who wish to obtain its services should contact the department on 0112677877 to make their appointments.
The activities of the District Offices of the DMT are carried out under the guidance of the District Secretary of the relevant District.
The Commissioner General requested the public to contact the department for services such as vehicle registrations and driving licenses through the following contact details, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on working days.
0707677877 for registration of vehicles and 0707677977 for inquiries related to driving licenses.
Inquiries after office hours shall be sent to the same numbers via WhatsApp, Viber and through SMS, the Commissioner General added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
