A A A

Hand – trailblazer of Human Civilization

The prominent part at the base of the fourth finger or the finger of Mercury above the line of Heart is called the Mount of Mercury.

This Mount indicates the general prosperity and the intellect of the subject. The absence of the Mount of Mercury signifies that the subject is a person living in poverty. Individuals with a prominent Mount of Mercury are called Mercurians. There are both good and bad Mercurians. Good Mercurians achieve success as outstanding orators, scientists, businessmen, industrialists, politicians and physicians. Clever cheats, swindlers, and liars are found among the bad Mercurians.

Physical peculiarities
Mercurians are well built but are of small stature. They are good athletes. They stand out in games and sports which require skills and dexterity rather than physical strength. They possess a pleasing appearance and look young even late in life. Their skin is soft. They have a protruding forehead. Their eyes are deep-set.

Health peculiarities
Mercurians have a nervous-bilious temperament. They are prone to ailments affecting the liver and digestive system.

Mental and moral peculiarities
Mercurians are quick in thinking and action. Their mental and physical alertness gives them an edge over competitors, rivals and opponents. They are good judges of human nature.

Bad Mercurians
Mercurians with a crooked finger of Mercury, grilles and cross-bars on the Mount are either dishonest or they are constantly subject to temptation to resort to dishonesty to achieve their immediate goals.

Criminal Mercurians
Criminal Mercurians are small in stature. They have shiftless and restless eyes. Their finger of Mercury is bent towards the palm. Their Mount of Mercury is grilled, the Heart line is either defective or absent and the Thumb is stiff.

Phalanges of the Finger of Mercury
If the first phalanx of the finger of a Mercurian is longer than the other two phalanges, it signifies that he possesses powers of eloquence and oratory, especially if the finger has a pointed tip. If the second phalanx is the longest, outstanding skills in law, medicine or science are indicated. If the third finger is the longest, the subject has skills to achieve outstanding success in business and commerce. The favourable signs on the Mount of Mercury singly or in combination are the single vertical line, Star, Square, Triangle and Trident. The Grille and Cross-bars signify the bad qualities of the Mount.
