Will probing Pillayan’s period in prison lead to more clues?

It has now been revealed as to how Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan celebrated the Easter attack with fellow inmates at the Batticaloa prison soon after he heard of Batticaloa’s Zion Church suicide attack, highly reliable police sources have divulged to the Daily Mirror.   

During the course of the investigation, it was also revealed how he confirmed that it was not a bomb attack but a suicide attack.   

“If he was not aware, how did he know that it was suicide attack? How did he get a cake to celebrate the attack? These are the questions, the investigators should focus on and question Pillayan,” police sources said.    “We sent the list to SIS, as per a long standing requirement by the police for us to send the guest list for security reasons. Even after the attacks on Easter Sunday this guest whom we suspected with a suspicious behaviour was at the hotel lobby. One of our security officers immediately informed the SIS about him, but they did not take any action,” Taj Hotel sources said.
