The Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre has announced a welcome change in the prevailing dry weather across the island, with several provinces set to experience much-needed rainfall starting tomorrow.
The Eastern, Uva, and Northern Provinces are expected to see multiple spells of showers, while the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, Southern, North-Western, and North-Central Provinces will witness showers in various areas during the afternoon or night.
Additionally, misty conditions are predicted in select locations in the Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts during the morning hours. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize any potential damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning that may occur during thundershowers.
This upcoming shift in weather patterns brings hope for relief from the prolonged dry spell, offering much-needed respite to residents and farmers alike.
