Fishing cat escapes dog attack in Tea Estate

The fishing cat had fled into the nearby jungle when chased by the dogs, leaving its cub behind in the chaos

Workers at a tea estate were witness to a dramatic scene recently when a large fishing cat and its cub wandered into the area, reportedly in search of prey, only to encounter an aggressive pack of dogs.  

According to estate residents, the adult fishing cat had entered the estate during the night, believed to be hunting stray dogs that roam the area. However, the situation quickly turned when several dogs confronted the wild cat, overpowering it with their numbers.  

Unable to withstand the attack, the fishing cat fled into the nearby jungle when chased by the dogs, leaving its cub behind in the chaos.  

With the dogs closing in, the frightened cub managed to scramble up a nearby tree to escape harm. Estate workers watched anxiously as the young animal clung to the branches while the dogs barked and circled below.  

After some time, the dogs eventually dispersed, allowing the cub to carefully climb down from the tree. The young fishing cat was later seen slowly making its way toward the nearby jungle, apparently in search of safety and possibly its mother.
