May Day celebrations begin in Nuwara Eliya

The May Day parade and rally organised for the Malayagam community by the National People’s Power (NPP) commenced in Nuwara Eliya a short while ago under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (01).

The Nuwara Eliya District May Day procession began near the Hawa Eliya area close to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital and concluded at the Urban Development Authority car park near Gregory Lake.
