Nations Trust Bank PLC (NTB), the issuer and sole acquirer of American Express Cards in Sri Lanka, announced a new partnership with KOKO, one of the country’s leading buy now, pay later solution providers.
Through this collaboration, the American Express cardmembers of NTB can utilise their cards as a payment method on the KOKO app, increasing their convenience and flexibility while shopping across a wider network.
The cardmembers can now make purchases at more than 6,000 KOKO-partnered online and in-store merchants thanks to this partnership and many of these previously did not provide instalment plans directly on American Express cards. In addition to earning Membership Rewards points for eligible KOKO transactions made with an American Express card issued by NTB, the cardmembers will also benefit from special promotions, discounts and benefits offered throughout KOKO’s partner network.
KOKO Regional CEO Michael Sathasivam stated, “We are thrilled to welcome NTB American Express cardmembers to KOKO. More shoppers can now take advantage of various payment alternatives from thousands of merchants thanks to our partnership. We are eager to improve this relationship and provide our joint customers with greater value.”
NTB Executive Vice President Consumer Banking Sheahan Daniel noted, “We are delighted to collaborate with KOKO to improve our American Express cardmembers everyday payment experience. Our cardmembers now have more options, access and flexibility when they shop throughout KOKO’s vast merchant network thanks to this integration. We remain dedicated to growing significant partnerships that facilitate our customer’s convenience and progression.”
NTB’s priority on allowing flawless, digitally sanctioned payment experiences, while providing more methods for American Express cardmembers to appreciate value and rewards across their everyday transactions is further strengthened through this initiative.
