Investment Promotion Minister Dhammika Perera today called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinge to step down as the Finance Minister as no clear plan has been conceptualised to steer the country away from the ongoing economic crisis.
“Sri Lanka’s Finance Minister plans for disaster. The Minister of Finance has no plan or appetite to resolve the current dollar crisis.
“The Finance Minister plans to borrow money from friends. He has no future cash flow planning for the country,” said Perera not mincing his words while addressing the media today.
Perera elaborated the Finance Minister is delaying all matters relating to dollar earnings borrowing, bridging finance and essential good credit lines.
