Altria Consulting Celebrates Its Five Years of Excellence

Altria Consulting (Pvt) Ltd, one of the leading data analytics & ERP services providers in Sri Lanka, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary with a gala event at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. During the event, the company reflected the success it has achieved in a relatively short duration, revealed the future direction of the organisation, and recognised high performing employees with awards. The keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Prabodha Sumanasekera, Chairman of VS Group which is the parent company of Altria Consulting.

Altria Consulting was created as a part of VS Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd (VSIS), a company with a focus on system integrations under VS Group (which specialises in engineering solutions with a global presence, especially in the East African region). Atria Consulting was formed to provide enterprise IT clients with data analytics services and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions implementation.

Altria Consulting has been serving a wide range of Sri Lankan entities, especially in the fields of telecommunications, manufacturing, banking and finance, and insurance. Under data analytics services, the company offers enterprise data warehouse implementation, big data solution implementation, data visualization solutions, and big data analytics. In addition, Altria Consulting also undertakes ERP implementation, high availability and disaster recovery implementation, SAP support services, SAP migration to Suite on HANA (SoH), and SAP migration to S4/HANA and implementation of FIORI apps, providing a comprehensive range of SAP services. 

Since the inception of the company, Altria Consulting has demonstrated a remarkable growth. As mentioned at the anniversary celebration event, annual revenue of the company in the financial year 2020/21 had reached LKR 300 million—a substantial growth compared to the revenue of LKR 20 million in 2017/18, the first year of Altria’s operation. The ambitious performance of company is expected to generate LKR 800 million for the financial year 2021/22. Similarly, the human capital of Altria Consulting has grown to more than 90 employees, enabling the company to augment its capabilities.

The event was participated by all employees of Altria Consulting along with the five directors of the company (Mr. Rohitha Wijewardena, Mr. Kamal Weeraarachchi, Mr. Priyanka Samarakoon, Mr. Manjula Dias, and Mr. Chamikara Perera), special guests including Mr. Prabodha Sumanasekera, Chairman of VS Group, as well as directors and other invitees from VSIS and INOVA. The attendees were treated with entertainment acts and games. The event was concluded with dinner and a contest to select the “Altria King” and “Altria Queen” from the Altria team.
