KPMG’s Aasif wins 2015 CA Student Best Speaker Contest 1st place

Aasif Moujood of KPMG’s Management Consultancy Division, won the first place whilst Farhath Sulaiman of KPMG’s Audit Division, won the second runner-up place and Gayashi Amarasekara, part of KPMG’s Audit Division, was selected within the top five finalists at CA Student Best Speaker Contest 2015 held recently.

The contest was organised by the Multimedia English Language Centre (MELC) of CA Sri Lanka in collaboration with the CA Toastmasters Club and the Gavel Club, to enhance the communication skills of its students. The contest, which comprised of three stages, namely, preliminary round, semi-final round and final round, provided students the platform to showcase their skills and enhance their confidence in public speaking. Contestants were also trained before the preliminary round of the competition through an orientation programme.
