Institute of Multimedia Education launched

The Institute of Multimedia Education (IME), which opened its doors on January 2, 2016, concentrates on providing a scientific, ethical and a professional education that focuses on modern trends, latest technology and application.
The team behind the organisation believes there is a significant gap between the theoretical knowledge and practical application related to multimedia education. 

With a faculty of well-seasoned and respected professionals, the IME hopes to initiate a change that will bridge the aforementioned gap to elevate the skills and abilities of Sri Lankans to compete at the international level.

The IME consists of five departments viz., Photography and Still Imagery, Videography, Design and Graphics, Audio Production and Imaging Science. 
The institute will offer 14 courses via the Departments of Photography and Imaging Science, with the Diploma in Photography as the highest offering.
