Waters Edge posts highest monthly profit

Waters Edge, a leading Sri Lankan hospitality property, reported record revenue and accelerated expansion, its Chairman Chathura Krishantha Perera, who took the helm in December 2024, said.

In August 2025, the group posted its highest monthly revenue on record, with total restaurant earnings reaching Rs.110.3 million.

Long Bar generated Rs.15.7 million, while Pranzo contributed Rs.22.4 million, marking the peak performance for both outlets.

December 2024 also saw record monthly revenue, shared Perera at a press briefing recently.

Waters Edge’s banquet sales division achieved future bookings between Rs.180 million and Rs.200 million, surpassing the previous years’ performance targets.

The group also opened a new 48-room hotel, launched under Perera’s tenure, expanding capacity and positioning the property as an eco-friendly tourist destination.

The company reported a net profit of more than Rs.50 million in August, reflecting stronger operational efficiency and growth in food, beverage and banquet services.

The ongoing initiatives include renovations of event halls, expansion of dining facilities and other service upgrades.

The company aims to achieve annual revenue of Rs.3 billion by the end of the current financial year.

“Our future goal is to further strengthen the Waters Edge institution and turn it into an internationally recognised institution through new ideas, sustainable development methods and high-quality service levels,” said Perera.
