SriLankan Airlines’ new A330-200 to debut with Colombo fly-past

SriLankan Airlines’ new Airbus A330-200 is set to touch down in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

The aircraft, arriving on its delivery flight from Paris, would fly at an altitude of 1,500 feet along the Colombo shoreline, visible from the southern end of Port City to Moratuwa, before returning to land at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), SriLankan Airlines said.

“An additional fly-past over BIA will take place just before landing. This is an exciting opportunity for aviation enthusiasts and plane spotters to catch a first glimpse of the aircraft that will strengthen SriLankan Airlines’ fleet and support its long-haul and short-haul operations, connecting Sri Lanka to the world,” SriLankan Airlines said.
