Senthilverl Holdings raises Colombo Dockyard shareholding to 12.2%



Senthilverl Holdings (Private) Limited has raised its stake in Colombo Dockyard PLC above the 10 percent threshold, according to a stock exchange disclosure filed under Sri Lanka’s Takeovers and Mergers Code.

The investor increased its holding to about 12.20 percent of Colombo Dockyard’s issued ordinary share capital, following a series of share purchases carried out on January 30, 2026, at prices ranging from Rs.149.25 to Rs.155.25 per share. Prior to the transactions, Senthilverl Holdings held 34,106,318 shares, representing 8.63 percent of Colombo Dockyard’s issued shares, as at the close of trading on January 29. On January 30, the company acquired an additional 4,263,567 shares, while further purchases amounting to 9,876,264 shares were executed, alongside a small number of shares sold on the same day.

Following the latest activity, Senthilverl Holdings now holds approximately 12.20 percent of Colombo Dockyard, which has a total issued share capital of 395,224,082 ordinary shares.

The disclosure was made in line with Section 36 of the Takeovers and Mergers Code of Sri Lanka, as amended, which requires notification when an investor crosses key ownership thresholds.
