Sri Lanka’s food lovers are in for a rare treat as MasterChef Singapore 2023 winner Inderpal Singh makes his debut appearance in the country for a one-night-only dining experience at Plated & Stirred: Singapore Edition. 

Presented by On The Rocks, in collaboration with Shangri-La Colombo, the event will take place on May 22 and 23, at Capital Bar & Grill.

This marks the first time a MasterChef Singapore winner will showcase their culinary creations in Sri Lanka. Guests can look forward to a specially curated four-course menu, featuring bold flavours, global inspiration and heartfelt storytelling through food.

A self-taught chef, Singh left a career in accounting during the pandemic to pursue his culinary passion. What began as a home-based butter chicken delivery service quickly gained popularity, culminating in his victory on MasterChef Singapore. In 2024, he opened Meh’r, his first restaurant, named after his daughter. The menu reflects his journey — modern interpretations of beloved street foods from Bali to Delhi, packed with nostalgia, warmth and creativity.

Joining him for the evening is Isz Valentino, head mixologist at Phool, the rooftop bar at Meh’r. With nearly a decade of international bartending experience, Valentino brings a distinct Singaporean cocktail philosophy to Colombo, crafting bespoke drinks designed to complement and elevate Singh’s dishes.
