Govt. to set up consultancy firm with Singapore’s Surbana

The Cabinet nod has been granted to set up a state-owned consultancy company with the assistance of Singapore’s Surbana Jurong to attract more investments to the country. To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between the state-owned investment promotion agency, the Board of Investment (BOI) and Surbana Jurong.

The new consultancy company will be given the task of carrying out accurate assessment of investment potentialities of Sri Lanka. Surbana provides service in a wide range of fields including city planning and designing, development management, project management and facilities management. The Cabinet proposal in this regard was made by Development Strategies and International Trade Minister Malik Samarawickrama
