EFC National Best Employer Awards 2025 to be held today



The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) will host the inaugural EFC National Best Employer Awards 2025 today at the Galle Face Hotel, commencing at 6.00 p.m. The event, originally scheduled for December 2025, was postponed due to the recent cyclone disaster.

The Awards will celebrate organizational excellence, human-centred leadership, and meaningful national socio-economic contribution, marking a significant milestone in recognising outstanding employer practices in Sri Lanka.

The ceremony will be graced by Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, as Chief Guest.  The programme will feature a Keynote Address by Professor Dave Ulrich, widely regarded as the Father of Modern Human Resources, delivered via video message.

Joni Simpson, Country Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, will also address the gathering. The Guest of Honour will be  Ravi Peiris, Senior Specialist – Employers’ Activities for South Asia, ILO India. Established in 1929, the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon is Sri Lanka’s premier employers’ organization, playing a pivotal role in advancing sustainable employment practices and supporting national economic progress.

The EFC National Best Employer Awards aim to go beyond traditional measures of success by recognising organizations that demonstrate strong leadership, ethical governance, inclusive workplace cultures, and a deep commitment to people-centred practices. The initiative seeks to establish a credible and aspirational national benchmark for employer excellence.
