Deepal officially launched in Sri Lanka

In a landmark moment for Sri Lanka’s automotive landscape, Deepal, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand from Changan Automobile, was officially launched at a prestigious event held at Shangri-La Colombo. 

The launch marks the beginning of a new era in sustainable mobility, spearheaded by a strategic partnership between Changan, China’s largest EV manufacturer and Senok Group, one of Sri Lanka’s most trusted names in mobility.

The event brought together industry leaders, media, policymakers and EV enthusiasts to witness the introduction of Deepal’s futuristic models to the Sri Lankan market. The attendees were given an exclusive preview of the brand’s initial line-up, which includes Deepal S07, L07, E07, S05 and the compact Lumin—vehicles that combine cutting-edge electric technology with intelligent design and performance.

Deepal is the result of visionary engineering by Changan’s New Energy Division. Formed as an independent brand in 2023, Deepal is built on a design philosophy of ‘intelligent companionship’—vehicles that intuitively connect with their drivers while delivering zero-emission performance and sophisticated style. With pricing ranging from Rs.6.9 million to Rs.30 million, Deepal offers a compelling value proposition across segments.
