K C Vignarajah, who is a Past Chairman of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), is one of the very senior advisors who is highly conversant with the Chamber Movement and enterprise development.

He had been the Chairman of the Executive Board of Management of the famous Project “Small and Medium Enterprise Developers” - SMED in Sri Lanka for its first 3 years The project was funded by Friedrich Naumann Stiftung, Germany. During this period, he and his team closely worked with the administration, chambers, and the SMEs in all the provinces, (except North and East) in terms of providing them with training, technical assistance, advice on Product innovation, Quality assurance, Finance, Marketing arid business linkages etc in order to uplift the SME sector in the country. He could not complete those tasks in the North and East then.

They need special attention, care and assistance to develop as they have been isolated for nearly three decades,
“In CNCI’s Annual Competition- “Achievers Awards”, we have specially recognized manufacturing and service sectors in the Northern and Eastern provinces. We require Vignarajah to use his vast experience now to complete the balance work that had been left out for a long time to boost the SME Sector in the two provinces He was a reputed industrialist and consultant in the country and internationally. NOW he willingly spares much time to impart his knowledge and experiences with others in the country as a CSR work jointly with CNCI.”

The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries has appointed Vignarajah as the special representative to serve the industrialists and Chambers in the North and East.
