Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, delivered the keynote speech under the theme ‘Bankers’ Responsibilities in Alignment with the Policy Agenda of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for 2025 and Beyond’ at a special staff gathering session held at the People’s Bank Staff Training College Auditorium in Colombo 05.
The address provided a comprehensive overview of the Central Bank’s strategic direction for the upcoming years, placing emphasis on the pivotal role financial institutions must play in supporting national economic stability and growth. Dr. Weerasinghe’s insights offered a timely and forward-thinking perspective on regulatory alignment, institutional accountability, and the adoption of sustainable banking practices.
The session significantly contributed to enhancing People’s Bank’s understanding of the evolving financial landscape. It also reinforced the Bank’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in regulatory compliance and sustainable operations, aligning with the national agenda for long-term financial resilience.
