Brantel Lanka tops 10% stake in Resus Energy following share purchases

Brantel Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd has increased its stake in Resus Energy PLC, surpassing the 10 percent ownership threshold, a disclosure to the Colombo Stock Exchange showed.

Following a series of transactions executed on September 11, Brantel Lanka acquired an additional 5,060,305 shares, along with a further 36,309 shares in separate trades, at prices ranging between Rs.42.00 and Rs.42.10 per share. The move brings Brantel Lanka’s total holding to 8,620,385 ordinary shares, exceeding 10 percent of Resus Energy’s issued share capital.

The disclosure was made in compliance with Rule 36 of the Take-Overs and Mergers Code of Sri Lanka.
