In a significant move for Sri Lanka’s pageantry landscape, intimate wear brand Amanté has been announced as the official main sponsor of Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2025. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to empowering Sri Lankan women and revitalizing the nation’s presence on the global stage.
The announcement came during a press briefing held yesterday in Colombo, heralding a new chapter of empowerment and elegance for the prestigious event.
The announcement follows the highly anticipated revival of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka franchise in 2024 under the leadership of National Director Nirmal Bandara, after a six-year hiatus since 2018. The 2025 edition promises to be a landmark event, featuring 35 contestants selected through nationwide auditions. These women represent Sri Lanka’s diverse cultural and regional backgrounds, competing not only for the crown but also for specialty titles in advocacy, public speaking, fitness, and social media influence.
“Amanté embodies the essence of modern Sri Lankan womanhood—confidence, comfort, and elegance,” said Bandara. “Their support amplifies our mission to celebrate beauty with purpose and create leaders who inspire globally.”

The 2025 competition builds on momentum from last year’s historic crowning of Melloney Dassanayake, who reignited national pride during her Miss Universe 2024 journey. With Amanté’s sponsorship, organizers aim to elevate training, outreach, and production standards, positioning Sri Lanka as a strong contender at the 74th Miss Universe pageant.
